October 2022:
- Informing the teachers’ board about the project.
- Training of participating teachers on the possibilities and on how to operate the QGIS
November 2022:
- Informing students and selecting those who expressed interest to participate in the program.
- Training of a selected group of students in the use of QGIS open-source software
- Manual design by two teachers participating in the program to use it by the participating students.
December 2022 - January 2023:
Practical application in the school computer lab in the use of QGIS by the participating students and teachers. A lot of testing and made our final decision – after storm braining and voting among students- about the collaborative map that students will do. Title of the project: Places of religious worship in our territory using QGIS
February 2023 - March 2023:
- Research, material collection, classification
- Digital mapping of the data using QGIS with the following information: Name of the church Type (Holy church, small church, chapel etc) Settlement (in our town, outskirts etc) Photographs General Information
April 2023:
- Export research results to a PDF map format
- Export results in a format accessible online and link it in our school website.
May 2023:
Presentation of the project and the final results on teachers’ board by the participating students.
